Due to the growing importance of technology in today's society, the demand for digital asset managers, or digital archivists, is greatly increasing. lack of technological knowledge can put people at a great disadvantage in the career world, especially when pursuing a career in any field dealing with business or information processing. Jacob Nadal is the preservation officer at UCLA and he stated in this article, "If you want to work in a library, you have to deal in electronic resources." These days, technology plays a huge role in information sharing, as well as most business transactions.
